One of the most prominent writing competitions in Asia, the Hong Kong Prize attracts authors from around the world. Its top ten finalists receive both monetary awards and shopping vouchers, while the impartial judging process ensures that all entries are considered fairly. Those interested in participating should read the rules and regulations carefully to prevent any issues down the line.

The HK Prize is also open to overseas scholars, who can apply starting March 1 for a chance to win a free flight ticket to visit Hong Kong. The application is simple and secure, so anyone who wants to win should be sure to follow the guidelines. This will help them avoid any scams or issues down the road.

This award aims to honour individuals in society who exemplify the spirit of humanity by caring for others and respecting human dignity. It is the first of its kind in Hong Kong to honor such deeds. Over 100 individuals have been honoured by this award since its inception in 2007. This year, the award will be presented to five people whose philanthropic work has touched the lives of those around them.

BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE

The BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize champions the vision of “Boosting Hong Kong and Serving the World through Technology”. The aim is to attract global top science talent, nurture forward-looking scientists, and build Hong Kong into a leading international scientific research hub.

Scientists who have published outstanding research in the fields of medicine and life sciences may submit their works for consideration. This includes prospective and retrospective clinical studies, observational or epidemiological articles (but meta-analyses and review articles are ineligible). Applicants should be Fellows of the Academy with their research published within 5 years of the submission date.

Winners of the HK Prize can expect increased international visibility and top-tier media coverage. In addition, they can look forward to accessing Hong Kong’s premier research facilities and building an extensive network of potential collaborators. Previous winners have included a young man using technology to assist homeless individuals and an artist interpreting human rights concepts through fine art concepts.

Winners of the HK Prize will have the opportunity to present their works at an awards ceremony in the future, which is a great opportunity to get their name out there and gain exposure for their work. They can also use their winnings to fund further projects or art education. They will also have the opportunity to join a worldwide community of artists and share their art with the public. The HK Prize is open to Southeast Asian residents, mainland Chinese citizens and those from other parts of the world. To learn more about the prize and to apply, click here.
